2. General Information on Data Processing

We take the protection of your personal data very seriously. We process your data exclusively in accordance with the applicable legal provisions, in particular the GDPR and the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG). This privacy policy explains which data is processed when you use studiefinden.de, for what purposes, and what rights you have.

3. Hosting and Server Log Data

This website is hosted by an external service provider. When you visit the website, the hosting provider automatically processes technical access data (so-called server log data) transmitted by your browser. This includes in particular:

We do not use tracking cookies or any marketing tools on this website. At most, technically necessary cookies are used that are required for the operation of the website (for example, to store your language preference). Technically necessary cookies do not require consent (legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, Section 25(2) TDDDG).

We use Vercel Web Analytics by Vercel Inc., 440 N Barranca Ave #4133, Covina, CA 91723, USA, to statistically evaluate the use of our website. According to Vercel, Web Analytics does not use cookies and stores anonymized usage data. Visitors are not tracked across websites; a visitor session is automatically discarded after 24 hours. The processing is based on Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our legitimate interest is to understand the reach and usage of our website and to improve our information offering.

5. Online Appointment Booking (Cal.com)

On our contact page you can book a conversation with us via an embedded calendar. The calendar is provided by Cal.com, Inc., 2261 Market Street #4382, San Francisco, CA 94114, USA ("Cal.com").

The calendar is only loaded once you click "Load calendar" (two-click solution). No data is transferred to Cal.com before that. By clicking, you consent to your browser connecting to Cal.com's servers and transmitting your IP address, browser and device information, your time zone, and the page you are visiting. Cal.com may set technically necessary cookies or use similar technologies in your browser in this context. We store your consent exclusively in your browser so that you do not have to unlock the calendar again on a later visit; you can delete this entry at any time via your browser settings. The legal basis for loading the calendar is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, Section 25(1) TDDDG). Alternatively, you can open the booking page directly on Cal.com or contact us by email or phone.

When you book an appointment, we process the data you enter in the booking form (name, email address, phone number where provided, and the selected time slot) in order to arrange and hold the conversation. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR if your request relates to the initiation or performance of a contract, and otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR based on our legitimate interest in a simple way to arrange appointments. Please do not enter any information about your health in the booking form.

Cal.com processes the data on our behalf; a data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR has been concluded. Processing takes place predominantly in the USA. The transfer is based on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (Art. 46(2)(c) GDPR) or on an adequacy decision such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, where Cal.com is certified under it. Booking data is deleted as soon as it is no longer required for handling the appointment and no statutory retention obligations apply. 6. Contacting Us

If you contact us by email, we process the data you provide (for example, your name, email address, and the content of your message) in order to handle your inquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR if your inquiry relates to the initiation or performance of a contract, and otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR based on our legitimate interest in responding to inquiries. The data is deleted as soon as it is no longer required for processing your inquiry and no statutory retention obligations apply.

7. Disclosure of Data

Your personal data is only transferred to third parties if this is necessary for the performance of a contract, if you have given your consent, if we are legally obliged to do so, or if another legal basis permits it.

8. Your Rights as a Data Subject
